Excellent work. I know a few people have been complaining about how the new Goblins look; was it something decided in the style guide, or was it left up to you guys, the artists? Just curious. I think they look rather good, and I like the direction that they've been taken in, separate them from the other planes.
Ohh, okay. I hadn't heard who was the head of the Scars style guide. And yeah, I like the fresh look. There's a bit of a continuity issue between the Mirrodin and Scars goblin styles, but I like this version more; much more fitting and they don't look like every other goblin from Dominaria (though they sort of remind me of non-shelled Akki from Kamigawa).
I rather like the continuity issue within the timespan of Mirrodin and Scars. Plastering normal goblins with metal like they did during Mirrodin was very disappointing to me. I gotta admit the Jund and Scars Goblins are by far some of my favorite creature designs throughout MTG.
Especially for goblins. The Akki of Kamigawa were kind of interesting, but the goblins in Scars are most likely my favorite. The Vedalken of old Mirrodin are the same way; I think they have more continuity with what has been presented in other planes.
