Kalonian Tusker: "Cor! blimey, you lot of bloody idiots, How many times do I have to tell you miserable wankers I go into the town get pissy then you charge a fee to drive me off. You don't bloody offer your services before I show up. Which one of you shit geniuses do I have to thank and kill?"
That's either some pretty pathetically useless plate armor, or those tusks are pretty hardcore tough. Heh. Either way, this looks really amazing, the detail is fantastic. Hmm, is it just me, or is it meant to have a slight water-colory feel to it?
Well, actually, swords and arrows pretty much just bounced off plate armor. Taking a typical sword to a guy in full plate would be pretty much as effective as taking a BB gun to a guy in modern ballistic armor. Sure, you could get lucky and hit a part not covered by armor, but chances are slim. That's why the mace, the war-hammer, and the war-pick developed on the battlefield.
Ah, blast, I'm doing it again, being a stupid Internet know-it-all
Heh, ignoring everything above, I do suppose tusks, no matter what the material, would certainly tear through anything when wielded by a 1000kg nasty That, and concussive force alone would most prolly kill the guy dead
Yeah, too much variables. I still think that a thrusting atack could pirce through an armor. Of course, not in every condition, but... if the guy with armor was laying on the ground, and the dude with the sword used all his wheigh. I know this is an ideal condition, and not very likely to happen on a battle. My point is that, i think that a sword would be hard enough to pirce an armor the same way a thin kitchen knife can pirce a can.
No matter if our opinions will diverge forever, we both agree that the painting is awesome, and i think thats the importat thing
