Cool picture overall, but from my point of view there is some problem with scale of everything. Well, you know the tree and fire and rocks are setting one scale and you think, all right that's the deal, but right after you look at the people and realize that goddamn, i was totally wrong about scale of whole thing!
What i tring to say that fallen tree and rocks with a torch says that it's not a big place, and there is no details on 'em that will correct this very first thought, so when you finally see ppl there that is little frustratin due that dissproportion of scales between ppl and whole place.
This really caught my eye, wonderful colors and texture. Two things: because of the composition you get brought right to the fire in the middle and never notice the people on the left and in the water. Also, the water isn't really reading as water, its a little flat, could use some more hot highlights and more reflection of the land. Looks absolutely beautiful though,I particularly like the hollow log on the left.
really interesting and definitely inspiring... Reminds me of a setting I would design. Interesting and borderline provocative. Good use of color. The perspective seems - at least to me - to be slightly off, such as the grass in the lower right compared to the figure, but it could be foliage. Awesome picture.
